Sugar Walls by Mysti Holiday

When Emilie is dumped by her boyfriend, best friend Jack Voss offers a shoulder and a place to live--the other side of his duplex. He’s always there, fixing her problems, her car, her sink. Emilie doesn’t know what she’d do without him, or with the feelings she’s having for him. His shoulder doesn’t just offer comfort anymore; his touch is a turn-on. Their shared wall is the only thing keeping them from sharing a bedroom—and fanning the flames might risk breaking something that Jack can’t fix.

Excerpt -

A glance back down at the man who was driving her crazy nearly made her moan. He shifted, his ass moved and his thighs flexed as he crawled forward a few inches. The denim of his worn jeans hugged him as tightly as Em dreamed of doing and, before she had time to think about it, she took a step Forward, hands outstretched to snatch hold of the prize. She stopped herself just in time and tucked her hands behind her back to keep from doing something stupid.

“So, Jack?” Her voice was tight with desire and discomfort.

“Hmm?” He peeked at her over one shoulder, a smile in those midnight blue eyes, then quickly returned his attention to the pipe.

“Almost done?” She hoped so, because at this rate, she’d come just from thinking about him.

“Nearly there. Leak’s almost plugged.”

I’ve got a leak you can plug. Her panties soaked with more cream than any one woman should have when she envisioned him plunging into her, filling her pussy with his hard cock. Heat rushed up her neck, and her heart pounded so loudly, surely he could hear it. Dear God. She tried to picture herself in a cold shower to kill some of the heat but cursed again when he joined her there in her mind and slid soapy hands over her damp skin, across her breasts, and down her—

“There.” His voice jolted her out of the hot daydream, and she jumped an inch off the floor. He backed out from the cupboard and turned to smile at her. “All fixed.”

Welcome Charlotte Stout - Seattle Delight - Virtual Book Tour

Today, Charlotte Stout is with us to talk about her new book, Seattle Delight.

Charly’s life was simple and uncomplicated, just like she wanted it.  Or so she thought!  One chance encounter with a devilishly handsome stranger in her local coffee shop would turn her world, and her heart, upside down.  She would be thrown into a realm of privilege and romance, and more than just a little danger.

How will she handle the dark gorgeous man who has inserted himself into her domain?  When danger threatens those she loves, will she have the strength of heart and spirit to do whatever it takes to save them?  Share Charly’s adventures as she navigates through the quickly changing landscape that has become her life.

Welcome, Charlotte!!  In Seattle Delight, your characters meet in a coffee shop.  We’ve all had our interesting encounters in unlikely places.  Tell us yours.  Where was it?  What happened? Who did you meet/see/bump in to?

Two days ago my husband and I were relaxing in lounge chairs in front of the Buckey O’Neill cabin chatting about the three days we had just completed as visitors to the Grand Canyon.  We were staying in this magnificent historical structure, The Buckey Cabin, which sits about ten feet off the pedestrian walkway along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.

We were both engrossed in a good book in our respective chairs when we heard high pitched animated voices.  We looked up from our books to see a small group of teenagers stopped in front of the cabin reading the placard describing who Buckey O’Neill was and the origin of the cabin.

A blond teenage boy, who looked to be about sixteen, stepped beyond the placard and looked at me and my husband, he nodded toward the cabin.  “Are y’all staying there?”  His voice was youthful, filled with energy, wonder and a southern accent.

“Yes, we are,” we both replied simultaneously.

“Wow that is so cool.”   He looked toward three of his friends and waved his hands animatedly.  “Hey guys, they’re staying here.  Hey, take my picture with them okay!”  The young man handed his camera to one of his female friends and almost danced toward us.

He bubbled with excitement at the prospect of having his picture taken with two strangers who were old enough to be his grandparents.  He squatted between our lounge chairs resting his forearms on the arms of the two chairs to steady his slight frame.  My husband and I just looked at each other, unable to speak.  We were being carried forward by the momentum of this young person’s tidal wave of enthusiasm.

The young girl holding the boys’ camera looked a little confused but she lifted the camera and started to line up the shot.   “Don’t mind him, he’s crazy.” She tried to explain obviously seeing the perplexed look on our faces.

The young man who prior to this young girl’s comment was oblivious to our potential discomfort took his cue from his female classmate.  He looked at each of us from his squatting position.  “I’m sorry, do y’all mind?”

How could we say no to that sweet yet slightly high pitched southern voice?  This teenager was a force to be reckoned with.  Energy sizzled around him.  He shared with us that he was part of a Christian teen group from North Carolina.  They were on a twenty-three day adventure traveling from North Carolina to California and back.

He talked about how they were beating statistical odds that said the group would tire of traveling together and petty jealousies would start to be exhibited after five days.  He was proud as he announced that everyone in his group got along and he doubted there would be any issues throughout the rest of their travels, because they were special.

He told us he had to get up at 3:30 a.m. so he could hike the canyon before the heat hit; that he loved everyone on the trip; that this was an adventure of a lifetime; and they were sleeping under the stars because money was tight.

When the young man and his troupe left, my husband and I looked at each other and smiled.  We both agreed that the encounter with this young man and his friends was a great way to finish this trip to the Grand Canyon.  These young people were so full of joy and optimism it was hard not to let those same feelings infect us.  We were happy and felt lightness in our hearts as we thought about how special the world is and will be with these dynamic young people being groomed to lead our country.

Thank you again for hosting this stop on the tour.

Bonne Journée
Charlotte

Wow! That's quite a story, Charlotte! I love hearing stories like this. You never know who life will throw in your path. It's refreshing to know he was so interested in the wonders he was seeing that he wanted to document every minute of his trip. I'm sure he'll look back on that photo years from now and remember the wonderfully kind couple who took the time to visit with him.

Now, here's an excerpt from Seattle Delight.

“Hey, watch it,” Charly said as someone bumped her table and precious drops of the caffeine laced fuel danced across the table.  She couldn’t afford to lose a microgram of caffeine. Not today – well not any day!  Considering she’d written two lines and a finished first draft of her book was due in two months, she knew she was in a world of hurt.

Charly turned to see who had been so rude.  Okay, as a romance writer it was Charly’s job to write about hunks but what she saw before her left her breathless.  Looking at her with Caribbean Sea blue eyes, copper skin, and dark hair falling in waves to the top of his shoulders was a God.

“Pardon, I am so sorry,” he said in a deep, richly accented voice bowing his head in her direction.
His eyes – those incredible blue eyes were intently focused on Charly making her feel self-conscious.  Charly regretted that she hadn’t taken more care with her appearance this morning.  Her damp hair was a mass of unruly curls, her face devoid of makeup with the exception of a dab of lip-gloss.  Charly rested her chin in her right hand appreciating the view before her until she laid a finger on her upper lip.  Panic rose within her; she felt it and if he noticed it she would be mortified.  Damn, why hadn’t she waxed her mustache last night?   Why did women get mustaches in the first place? It’s not like we don’t have enough to worry about.

Meet the author -

Charlotte lives in Arizona with her hunky husband Warren, and her spoiled Silky Terrier, Tess. Her life has been filled with serious endeavors, including earning a Master's degree, owning her own business, consulting and working in the corporate world as a human resources executive. Before penning her first novel, Charlotte had written several practical guides for business applications, not exactly steamy stuff. Luckily, she never lost sight of her dream to write a novel that would encompass her passion for gorgeous men, adventure and a love of life. Enjoy

Roni Loren - On Rules and Rule Breakers - Melt Into You Book Tour

I'm so happy to welcome Roni Loren to my blog today to talk about breaking rules, and her new book -

Her first love has returned, and he's brought a friend...
After running away from home and the boy who broke her heart, Evan Kennedy has kick-started the perfect new life with her celebrity fiancé. So what if said fiancé prefers guys? She knew the deal. And with her ticket to The Ranch, an exclusive resort where any fantasy can be satisfied, she knows she can find someone to fulfill her less-than-traditional desires on the side.
She just never expected that man to be Jace Austin, her old heart-breaker—all grown up, hard-bodied, and holding out a collar. She knows it’s probably a world-class bad idea—especially since Jace has brought along his buddy Andre, who’s every bit as irresistible. But if they can stick to the no-strings rules, so can she.
Too bad Jace has never been so good with rules. Evan is convinced “forever” is a word used only in greeting cards, but Jace and Andre have one last fantasy of hers left to fulfill. It’s time to go big or go home. And neither man has ever been a fan of going home.

On Rules and Rule Breakers

First, thanks so much for having me here on the blog! Roz pointed out to me that many of my stories tend to have rule breakers in them and wanted me to talk about that a bit. What’s funny is that before she said anything, I’d never really thought of it that way. But looking at everything I’ve written, it seems to be true, lol. Apparently, I love a rebel.

Part of it is because I write BDSM romance and just having characters in that lifestyle in general requires rule-breaking personalities. It’s not exactly socially acceptable to want to tie up and whip your lover. But the other reason is--what is interesting about someone who always follows the rules and the prescribed path? (Although I’m currently writing a book that is going to play with that idea because I have a pretty straight and narrow hero--an anomoly for me, lol.) I want people who haven’t been sheep in their lives, people who aren't afraid to forge their own path and do their own thing.

And in MELT INTO YOU, I have taken that rule-breaking concept even further than I have in the past. Jace, the main hero, has never met a rule he didn’t want to break. He’s the black sheep of his family and pretty much gives the finger to anyone who tries to control him or label him. Of course, underneath his rebellious bad boy self, he’s got a soft, vulnerable side. But you’ll have to read the book to find out what really keeps Jace up at night.

Then I have Evan, the heroine, who has lived on the streets, been through hell, and is now marrying her gay best friend on purpose, even though he’s in love with someone else. She’s definitely walking her own road.

And finally, there’s Andre--Jace’s roommate, a dominant, and a cop. A cop who happens to like sharing women with his best friend and may possibly be in love with his aforementioned best buddy.

None of my characters have ever felt like they fit in with the rest of the world...and they don’t really want to. I think that’s what appeals to me most about rule-breakers. It takes a certain confidence to not want to be like everyone else. Plus, I come from a family of do-your-own-thing-and-who-cares-what-others-think people, so it may be in my blood, lol.

These characters sound wonderful, Roni. I do love people who color outside the lines!

*******************************************
Here's an excerpt from MELT INTO YOU.

“Stop fighting or you’re going to drown us both.” The rumbling male voice came from behind her, and the grip on her arms tightened. “We’ve got to get out of the undertow.”

Her heart jumped into her throat, but she forced herself to stop struggling so the stranger could help. His breath was warm on her neck as he pulled them both backward, but he didn’t say another word. The water seemed to be fighting their progress, and the man adjusted his hold until he had his arms hooked beneath her armpits. She wanted to tell him to let her go, that she knew how to swim, but her thigh was burning like a swarm of wasps had attacked it and her head was spinning again.

A few hard-fought minutes later, packed sand scraped against her heels, and she sucked in a deep sigh of relief. The man dragged her another few feet until they reached dry land, then set her down and kneeled next to her.

“Are you okay?” he asked, his broad chest heaving beneath his soaked T-shirt.

She lifted her gaze to the concerned eyes staring down at her, an odd sense of déjà vu washing over her. “I, uh . . .”

“I heard you scream. Are you hurt?” He touched the side of her head, evaluating her.

She wet her lips. “My leg . . . Something stung me . . . I lost my balance.”

He glanced down the length of her—the mostly naked length of her. Shit. She shot up into a sitting position and scooted backward, but his hand locked over her knee as he stared down at her upper thigh, which was still burning like she’d roasted it over an open fire.

“Damn, it got you good.”

“What are you talking about?” She tried to jerk her leg from beneath his grip, but he held her firm as he examined her.

“Jellyfish,” he said, frowning at her. “Your whole thigh is striped. That must hurt like a sonofabitch.”

She stared down at the red tentacle-shaped lines around her thigh. “Well, it doesn’t feel awesome.”

He chuckled, the rich sound seeming to vibrate from deep within his chest, and something stirred in the back of her brain. He climbed to his feet. “Here, let me help.”

“Don’t you dare pee on me,” she said, the words slipping out before she could rethink them.

He tilted his head back in a full laugh this time, the sound echoing down the beach.

She cringed. “I’m sorry, I—”

He raised a hand, his eyes still lit with humor. “Don’t worry. The urine thing is just an urban myth. And I’m definitely not going to ruin my ‘just saved pretty girl from drowning’ hero status by taking a leak on you. I’m not that stupid.”

She couldn’t help but smile. “Oh, a hero, huh? So this is all a big pick-up routine? Find drowning girls and ride in on your white horse?”

“Absolutely.” He grabbed the hem of his T-shirt and pulled it off, revealing miles of taut skin, sinewy muscle, and tribal-style ink running across his shoulder and down one arm, rendering her momentarily speechless. Water dripped off his soaked hair—which looked to be blond, though it was hard to tell in the moonlight—and slipped down his now bare chest. Her gaze locked on the tiny droplets, tracking their path down to the band of his shorts until they disappeared. Oh, blessed Lord.

He cleared his throat, no doubt catching her in her perusal, and squatted next to her. His hand slipped under her knee. “Here, seawater actually helps the sting. Let me wrap this around your leg, and then we can go to my room. We’ll get you feeling better.”

She cocked an eyebrow at him. “Oh, really. Might want to tap the brakes there, Rico Suave. Despite my state of undress, I don’t just go to strangers’ hotel rooms. I’m not quite that easy.”

Dimples appeared as he fought a smile. “Oh, not quite that easy, but easy. Duly noted.”

Meet Roni

Roni wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven’t improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has. Though she’ll forever be a New Orleans girl at heart, she now lives in Dallas with her husband and son. If she’s not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching reality television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to rockstars, er, rock concerts. Yeah, that's it. She is the author of The Loving on the Edge series from Berkley Heat.

Wendi Zwaduk - Guest Blog

I'm pleased to have Wendi Zwaduk here today to talk about appearances - you know - those what you see isn't necessarily what you get kind! And just to get you in the right frame of mind - here's one of Wendi's steamy book covers. Hmm...I'm thinking all kinds of things here. First impressions and all...

Over My Head:

What happens when two opposites realise they have more in common than expected?
I’m a dancer…and a damn good one. I work at the Silver Steel Gentlemen’s Club. My hard and fast rule? No freebies and no office dating. Except for Slade. Hard, fast, slow, gentle...I don’t care. I’ll take him any way possible. But he’s not that into me.

Or so she thinks. I’m a bouncer at the Silver Steel. Astra doesn’t realise I see her—I can’t help myself. She captivates me every time she’s on the stage. I want her, but I have a...problem. I’m not at the Steel to pick up chicks or even work the room. I’m there to stop the influx of drugs into the community. Yeah, I’m a cop. But if the job means sampling the dancers... Well, as long as I keep my heart out of it, I’ll be fine.
I hope.

Reader Advisory: This book has a kick ass hero, a dancer with all the right moves, hot sex, a little mutual anal play for good measure and mention of drug use.

Now that we've got your interest....Take it away, Wendi!

You’re Not How You Look

Okay so I know that’s not the best way to title this post, but since Roz opened the door, I’m going to run full barrel right through it. First, I want to thank Roz for having me and the Strip Tease tour on her blog. I love coming here and love her topics even more.
She said, “The books in the Strip Tease series seem to have a common thread  - not everything, or everyone is exactly as they appear. Since I'm a firm believer that there's a little bit of the author in every book they write, what about Wendi is not as it appears?”
I saw this topic and laughed. Roz hit it right on the head. There is a lot about Wendi (me) that’s not as it appears.
When people first meet me, they think I’m quiet. They think I’m this shy, quiet, timid person. When I’m in a situation where I don’t know anyone I will be quiet initially. Why? I’m trying to figure out the climate of the room. Can I get away with being loud and having fun or do I have to be super professional? Once I figure that out, I tend to be more myself—not so quiet. I love to laugh and tend to make what some might consider off color jokes.
When I take my small person to school, that’s another thing. The parents see me and think I’m a rebel. If I’m in my comfy mode, I’m wearing my jeans, my Adidas kicks and either a hoodie (it gets cold in Ohio most of the time) or a quirky T-shirt—my Queen concert tee is my favorite. They see my clothes, and my blue tinted hair and my jeep with the Dirty Jeep Girl tire cover and think I’m some devil person. Oh, and it so happens that a dear friend of mine shouted to whoever happened to be listening in the foyer that I wrote erotic romance. Her words were, “You dirty girl writing that dirty, dirty romance.”
When I showed up for a meeting at the school dressed in an ankle-length skirt with my hair pulled back and a nice sweater, the monitor said, oh, you do clean up.
I’ve got another story about how people see me and how I am that involves my best friend. We’d gone to a con and were talking, having a good time, you know... being ourselves. There wasn’t a lick of alcohol involved. But ask those who saw us? We were loud (kind of) and laughing a lot, so that automatically meant we were sloshed. And I even had a dress on at the time. So much for being prim.
Shrug. Prim isn’t my style anyway.
I am who I am and I don’t fib about it. I write as Wendi Zwaduk and Megan Slayer. I like to experiment in my stories. I hope you’ll all come along for my long, strange journey. :-)
Thanks Roz. What about you? What’s something about you that people think they know and really don’t?

When You're With Me

A topless dancer and a cynical cop doesn’t equal a lifetime love...or does it?

There’s more to Jude Nelson than just a sequined thong. She’s got big dreams to become an artist. There’s one tiny wrinkle in her plan—she’ll never forget the bloody image of her friend’s battered body in the dumpster.

Who can a nude dancer turn to for help? Certainly not a hardened undercover cop...

Detective Drew Alwyn is on the case to find out who murdered his good friend and fellow officer. But the moment he sees Jude, he can’t look away. He has to decide which is more important—his dedication to his job or the girl who holds his bruised and battered heart.

Will these two opposites come together to solve the case or will their desire consume them?

This story contains scenes of bondage, mentions of drug use by secondary characters, silk, sequins and art supplies used in foreplay, voyeurism and a little spanking for good measure.

Meet Wendi-

I always dreamed of writing the stories in my head. Tall, dark, and handsome heroes are my favorites, as long as he has an independent woman keeping him in line. I tend to write books with titles taken from songs because music is one of my many muses.

I earned a BA in education at Kent State university and as well as a Masters in Education from Nova Southeastern University. I've tried my hand at teaching, waitressing, and retail sales, but writing holds my heart.

I love NASCAR, romance, books in general, Ohio farmland, dirt racing, and my menagerie of animals. I have more stories than my brain can handle percolating.  I can't wait to share them with you!

Liz Crowe - The Realtor Series - Guest Blog

Blurb -

The Realtors:  Life in the House Lane
Love is an easy word to use, a hard one to demonstrate, and sometimes impossible to trust.
The Realtors is a sweeping epic, encompassing over ten years in the lives of two people who know how to love with their bodies, how to please and get pleasure, to control and be controlled.  When it comes to the deeper meaning of the one word they both need however, their strong personalities get in the way. While their physical connection sizzles they continue to disappoint one another emotionally.
Jack Gordon has it all--money, success, a string of women—but sustains a deep longing for something more. When he thinks he finds it with Sara Jane Thornton, his world is never the same again.  Sara releases his natural Dom, a side of him he'd thought buried out of frustration and unhappiness. Sara learns a true submissive must trust implicitly, something she cannot associate with him, no matter how many times she tries, and he fails.
With a rich cast of secondary characters, including a young man who presents a near-perfect foil to Jack's intensity, and who falls hard for Sara; The Realtors series is a romantic saga with an emphasis on contemporary life and love, with a healthy dose of white-hot eroticism. Modern, busy, driven characters living lives of purpose and real-time stress, seek the ever-elusive and highly coveted combination --a friend, lover and trusted advisor who will be there for the long haul.

As some of you might know, I'm a big fan of series romances, so I asked Liz to tell us a bit about how she developed The Realtors into a series.
Take it away, Liz!

Hey Roz, thanks for having me!
Yeah, I love a juicy series too.  Reading AND writing them!

If a story is well-written I find myself falling so much in love or lust or fascination with characters that I can't stand not knowing more. Luckily, because the characters I write are mine, I have it within my power to keep going--to keep telling their story and the stories of those around them.

I've been "accused" of writing secondary characters in many of my books that are just as compelling as the main ones, and typically I use them to launch a series.  My Turkish Delights series with Decadent grew that way.

But The Realtors really is the longer story of the two main characters as opposed of a series of spin off novels from one main one.  It began life as a big ass novel, with a sequel.  It's the first big project I tried, truly my very first foray into writing fiction about three years ago.  It's gone through several bouts of crits, many pretty massive rewrites as I honed my craft thanks to the help of editors with various publishers, and finally formed itself into the 3  novels of fairly equal length that cover about 12 years in the life of Jack Gordon and Sara Thornton, their families, friends, lovers and finally the one thing that brings them together and keeps them that way despite clashing similar personalities and seemingly conflicting life goals.

Yeah, there is a pretty compelling distraction for her along the way and one that some reviewers have latched onto as a "better" option for Sara (see: hot new blond guitar-playing, motorcycle-riding, nice guy named Craig).  But ultimately, this story is about how 2 people are simply meant to be together and how, as real human beings with real faults and failings, they are willing to overlook those in each other and embrace the love between them.  I don't write sweet romance though so be warned. You will get aggravated at both of them at times, but so far reviewers say they are so compelling, so realistic, you don't want to ever stop reading.

The story developed fairly organically as do most of my books.  I typically start with one very hot scene (in this case it's in the hallway of her office and one that most reviewers are still fanning their faces over to my satisfaction) to kick things off.  I like to create a couple (they all start this way regardless of how many folks end up together but that's not this story), give them a compelling reason to be together (similar professions, friends, whatever) then a real reason to NOT be and see how they sort it out.  With Jack and Sara, that process takes a while, involves some seriously hot scenes that Realtors can relate to (the empty condo showing, the empty sales office, the empty Open House...) adds an element of "the other guy" plus a few reasons for Sara to be intensely jealous of Jack's many (many) former lovers.  I also pull in the story of Sara's brother Blake, who she is very close to and nearly ruins his own relationship because of his over-protective nature. Blake and Rob's story is begging to be told.  And I will, I promise.  There are some pretty steamy moments between them, because, like I said, I like a layered story, with secondary characters you want to care about and know better.

Jack Gordon is Ann Arbor's most delectable bachelor.  At age thirty-five, he's made millions as a top-selling Ann Arbor real estate broker and has the right connections to close a deal by any means necessary. With his rugged good looks and compelling personality, he has a virtual black book most men would kill for and he uses it often, never settling for one woman for very long.
While his D/s past remains buried, exactly where he wants it, an undercurrent of boredom and dissatisfaction runs through his life now.  A disastrous experience years earlier made him swear off the whole scene, but the more Jack suppresses his natural Dom, the more his frustration grows.
Sara Thornton, a rookie in the real estate game, has fast-tracked herself to the top of the Ann Arbor market. Her life reflects a disciplined and focused routine, exactly the way she wants it.  However, as her career takes off, the fulfillment she seeks remains inexplicably out of reach.  The one thing she knows for sure, she will not join the Jack Gordon groupies in her company, no matter how tempting that might seem.

Jack Gordon thought he’d finally made it.  He had a wildly successful career, money in the bank and even returned to his life as Dom, putting an end to a string of unfulfilling sexual encounters. Now that he's made the ultimate commitment to Sara Thornton, he believes all is right in their world. However, a series of misunderstandings and a dose of self-fulfilling prophesy bring his perfectly crafted house of cards tumbling down around him, forcing him to confront lingering misgivings about marriage and trust.  Could those be the only two things he can never achieve?
Sara struggles with her intense need for Jack and her desire for less volatility in her busy life, two goals which appear to be mutually exclusive. Although willing to put in the time and emotional effort to make their relationship work, she finds it futile and frustrating, littered with clashes thanks to near-identical personalities and temperaments. Given Sara’s history, easing back into the comfortable status quo becomes easier than fighting a war with the one person who should be her safe haven. But will the easier choice satisfy her the way only Jack can? Is her "war" one that comes from without or within?
Buffeted by circumstance, temptation and distraction, Jack and Sara’s tenuous relationship crumbles, sparking a continuous quest for the ever elusive: trust, love and acceptance. By the time they rebuild a foundation for renewal, fate has other plans. This leaves them both reeling, once again questioning their destiny.

Love conquers all? Not likely, according to Sara Thornton. She's spent eight years coming to terms with the new parameters of her life while resigning herself to the idea that “happily ever afters” are best left to fairytales.  Sales manager for her successful real estate office and juggling an added element of responsibility she never thought she'd face, Sara continues to struggle with the men in her life.  Love, for her, has only meant hurt, broken trust and anger; all of which she’s completely banished from her life, so she claims.
Jack Gordon has come a long way since his early days of obsession with Sara.  As the general manager of Stewart Realty, his own level of responsibility for the well-being of others has ramped up. He’s even honed his caretaking skills, now that he has someone who loves him unconditionally.
Continuing to invest effort and rebuild their relationship, he and Sara grow close as friends. Excerpt -

Sara knew she hovered at a precipice. She could make a choice. At that moment, her body craved release but her brain had settled; her nerves no longer jangled as they had been doing for weeks. The rough sound of his voice, the touch of his hand, just the looks he'd been shooting her all night had brought her to that moment. She took a breath and let it take her, let her body fully relax for the first time in months.

As if he sensed her giving way, he held on tight from behind, cupping her breasts, then moving down to tease her clit and pussy again, never staying in one place long. "I think we need one more thing, don't you?" He must have shed his shirt at some point and the delicious sensation of his flesh against her back made her sigh, and arch her hips. He put a foot between hers, shoving his thigh against her pussy. She moved her hips, ground against his leg, needing to climax so badly she wanted to cry. She did cry, could hear herself sobbing; could feel the tears slip out from under the blindfold.

"Arch your back Sara," Jack commanded as he pushed one leg away from the other, forcing her legs apart.

Panic shot through her. The moment she'd been attacked last year came swirling through her brain. She tugged at the restraint over her head.

"No, I can't. I'm scared. My feet are getting numb. I can't—I can't feel my hands. Jack." Her voice sounded breathy, anxious, but her brain kept pouring some kind of calming elixir over her nerves. It had to be the strangest sensation in the world. Abject terror, white-hot fury, and a clean pure jolt of need warred in her. Then nothing. Crystal clear calm made it all the turbulence, all the chaos of her last year fade into nothingness, like it had never happened. She tasted her own tears.

"I know. Give it to me. Let me have it." He bit her neck, ran a hand across her ass. "Give it to me Sara." She winced when his palm met her flesh, the smacking sound echoing around in her ears. "It's mine. All of it. Your fear, hate, anger, love—it's mine. Give it to me." He smacked her again, then once more, harder. "Come. Now." Her body obeyed even as the astonishing tranquility poured through her psyche. Fluid coated her thighs as she moaned, cried his name, but couldn't hear herself. Her words slurred and her vision darkened behind the blindfold. The orgasm plowed her under, made her whole body release energy from the tip of her tingling scalp to her shaking toes. She slumped, letting the leather hold her up, pull at her sore shoulders.

Wow! That was some excerpt!! Let's get to know Liz Crowe.

Microbrewery owner, multi-published author, beer blogger and journalist, mom of three teenagers, and soccer fan, Liz brings years of experience in sales and fund raising, plus an eight-year stint as an ex-pat trailing spouse PLUS making her way in a world of men (i.e. the beer industry) to her life as erotic romance author.  When she isn't sweating inventory and sales figures for the brewery, she can be found writing, editing or sweating promotional efforts for her latest publications.

Otherwise, look for her doing pounds of laundry for her athletic children, watching La Liga on the Fox Soccer Channel, or trying to figure out what to order in for dinner. Liz loves her Foo Fighters Pandora station, and watching reruns of Deadwood, when there isn't any decent sports on the telly (like during “golf season”).  Her beer blog a2beerwench.com is nationally recognized for its insider yet outsider views on the craft beer industry. Her books are set in the not-so-common worlds of breweries, on the soccer pitch and in high powered real estate offices.  Don’t ask her for anything “like” a Budweiser or risk painful injury.
