You would think a romance writer could easily define romance, but that isn’t the case – at least for this romance writer. After giving it much consideration, I decided romance means something different for everyone, but most of us can agree that there are some universal symbols that represent romance in our minds. Who doesn’t see a bouquet of red roses or a diamond ring and not think about romance?

After thirty-four years of marriage – to the same guy – those things are nice gestures, but an offer of dinner out after a long day at the computer is likely to generate the same response from me as a big bouquet of flowers. When it comes right down to it, it’s the thought that puts romance in the gift – not the gift itself.

Not that I don't think diamonds are a girls best friend, but these days, I'm more about baseball diamonds than the carbon kind! Check out the new cover for my baseball themed menage, INSIDE HEAT.

Megan’s quest for an autograph turns into a proposition to play with the sexiest twins in baseball, and it’s all fun and games until someone falls in love.

  2. I'm right there with you on the 'thought that counts'. Although diamonds (stone AND baseball are my least favoured) there is something about a man in tight pants :)

  12. Romance is when that special someone does something to let you know you're never alone whether its helping with the laundry/housework, making breakfast/ordering in dinner, texting 'I love you' or 'miss you', or hugging you when you get home.

  13. It is help with the everyday things that mean romance to me. Helping me fix breakfast for my Mom. Picking something up from the store on the way home from work. I am not a person who likes big showy gestures. Just be there for me.

    <^_^>
My husband while on a cross country trip with his family (we were dating at that time) made them stop in several small towns so he could get me a coffee cup from each of them cause he knew I collected obscure/different coffee cups. That is romantic to me.
I’m a sucker for the HEA. All my favorite authors give me a great story line, characters I can identify with, hot love scenes and a perfect HEA!
Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win.

  33. One thing about romance for me is trust. I trust him to be faithful to me and me with him. he travels more with his new job and it means so much to me that we trust each other to respect each other and make effort to think of the other when we are apart. sex texting is a new way to express our separation.

  35. Thanks for participating! Really like the hop so far!! I love reading, especially romance. I love reading contemporary, historical and erotic romance. I love the happy ending that is garenteed at the end. My favorite book is Lover Mine by JR Ward! I love John Matthew and Xhex. My favorite romantic moment was when my fiancé asked me to marry him! We meant two years ago right around when summer was ending when my friend and I went out for our last big night out before classes started again. I think it is romantic when he brings me flowers because no one else has ever done it! Thanks so much! Hope everyone else is having a great long weekend!!

  38. Twin baseball players? Now that sounds hot! Thanks for the giveaway!
My husband has been very romantic the last year. I was diagnosed with breast cancer, luckily for me it was caught very early and was small. So right after Christmas last year he gave me a pink ribbon necklace for my radiation. And it wasn't so much the necklace but the thought that went into it. A way to keep my spirits up during the treatments. I had radiation every week day for 6 weeks. And he went with me for most of them, I always told him he didn't have to go. He said he wanted to be there for me. He helped me apply creams and other treatments to help with the skin irritation from the radiation. On my last day of radiation, he had a dozen pink roses sent to me at the office. Being romantic isn't about all the big gestures but what is done in between them. All I can say is I'm so lucky to have my husband.

  50. Romance is like a dream state of mind like finding the kitchen untouched after cleaning it (which is a miracle to stay clean for 15 min) or not finding 2 additional loads of laundry after you think you finally got it ALL caught up...
hence my need for escaping into the covers of a book.
