40Versary-Birthday-2015 Eve - New Release Party

Thanks so much for stopping by. First things, first, let my resident hunk pour you a glass of champagne then I'll explain what this party is all about.

Got your bubbly?

Okay, raise your glass in celebration!

Today is not only my Birthday, yep, it really, really is (Happy Birthday to me...), but it is also the 40th anniversary (aka 40versary) of my first date with the love of my life.
LOML (Love Of My Life) took me to see The Towering Inferno (that's a movie for those of you who aren't old enough to remember).

Afterward, we went out for pizza.
Did I mention it snowed that night? (Kind of a big deal in Dallas)
It was all very romantic, which probably explains why I still love to watch it snow.
I married LOML 3 1/2 years later.
This summer we will celebrate our 37th anniversary. (Hmm...sees another party on the horizon.)

Personal life aside, it is New Year's Eve. That alone is reason to party!

Let me be one of the first to wish you a happy and prosperous
New Year.

With the dawn of the New Year comes the release of
HEARTS ON FIRE.
When hearts meet, magic happens.

Hearts on Fire was first released as part of the Seduction - One Fortune at a Time anthology (Cupid Publishing, Sept., 2014).

Blurb -

Single father and firefighter, Steve Rankin has every reason to distrust flighty people, given the way his former girlfriend dropped their infant daughter on his doorstep six years ago then left to ‘find herself.’ When the fortune-teller at the Renaissance fair tells him there’s a woman who needs him, he rejects the prediction as so much idiocy from a fraud who couldn’t even predict a fire in time to save her booth from burning to the ground.

Shannon Perry isn’t looking for love, despite her friend Nadya’s prediction that a man with broad shoulders is in her future. It’s been years since Shannon has felt anything except numb, so when desire stirs in her body for the sexy firefighter with the adorable sprite of a daughter, stepping closer to the flames is too tempting to resist. From the sparks of desire, the fire burns hot and fast for both of them, but lessons learned the hard way could stand between them and a future together.

Review of Hearts on Fire -
Lee’s story really hit all the right notes with me. Firefighter, hero and loving father; Steve is essentially every woman’s dream man. Let’s face it, who can resist a man in uniform? From start to finish, it is the type of story I would want to read again several times.

Hearts on Fire is available from these retailers:

Thursday Thirteen - Counting my Blessings

This past year has passed in a whirlwind. Lots of wonderful blessings have come my way, including the addition of a son-in-law to our family just two short days from now. As you read this, I'm probably on the road to the wedding. So, join me as I count my blessings for 2012 and wish you a safe and wonderful New Year.

1.      I got another year older. This, of course, is better than the alternative.
2.      One of our daughters graduated from the police academy and now drives a patrol car and carries a gun. This, too, is better than the alternative.
3.      Our other daughter got engaged.
4.      We’re getting a new son-in-law two days from now.
5.      All my books are selling on a daily basis.
6.      We learned our bi-coastal existence will come to an end in about a month!
7.      My cupboards hold more food than we can eat.
8.      Good health has favored us.
9.      Stories and words continue to swarm in my head and out onto paper.
10.  I’ve met some absolutely wonderful people I'm grateful to call friend.
11.  I’ve been places and seen new things.
12.  Steady paychecks have continued to come.
13.  You are reading this. I’m blessed that you took the time to stop by today. May your blessing be plentiful in the New Year.

Happy New Year!

One year ago, THE LUST BOAT set sail for the first time. It seems like yesterday to me, as 2011 has flown by. There have been so many exciting and wonderful things happen this year that I can't even begin to enumerate them, or choose just one to award a 'best' title to.

I am truly blessed, so as I set out on the journey that is 2012, I resolve these things -

To love unconditionally.
To lend a hand where I can.
To count my blessings first and my troubles last.
To keep on writing.
To keep pursuing my dreams.
To look forward rather than backward.

In celebration of the blessings of 2011, I'm going to giveaway a copy of each of the 5 books I released over the last 12 months. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment with your New Year's Resolution.

Wishing you all the very best in 2012,

Roz Lee
